Overall I was satisfied with the service provided by Matt, the salesman, and am happy with our new Trax. The one regret I have is agreeing to trading in my 1 year old Honda Accord for less than what TruCar suggested it was worth. The dealer's original offer was $2800 below the TruCar estimate. After rejecting the next two offers, the manager came over and basically said the Truecar numbers were fiction and that I wasn't being fair. He said he could never sell the car for the retail number that Truecar presented. I eventually agreed to accept a price which was $1300 lower that the Truecar trade-in value. Unfortunately, I believed the story I was being told and wanted to be fair. Two days later I checked the dealer's website and saw that the car was being advertised for more than the Truecar retail estimate, a 23% markup from what they paid me. Shame on me for accepting the offer and shame on the manager who mislead me regarding the validity of the Truecar estimates. I should have walked away from the deal. I would recommend that anyone else in this situation not believe what they are told and go to another dealer for better pricing.

Overall a very pleasant experience from start of process to delivery the day after. Jimmy my salesman was a true professional, easy to speak to, answered every question etc etc. John the finance manager in the back of the house was also fantastic all around. A clean and seamless and enjoyable way to buy a new car. Bravo Chevrolet of Smithtown !
